IPNAHAYAG ng Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) na nadakip na ang isa sa mga salarin sa pagpatay sa mamamahayag na si Dennis Denora sa tulong narin ng Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office.
Kinilala ang naaresto na si Richard Posas Bolastig na nakakulong ngayon sa Tagum City Jail at naghihintay na madinig ang kaso.
Sa ulat na isinumite sa Malacañang ni Lt. Col. Verna Cabuhat, acting chief of police ng Panabo City Police Station, sinilbahan ng arrest warrant si Bolastig noong Pebrero 22 sa pagpatay kay Denora na nauna nang iniatas ng Task Force.
“This is proof of the government’s unwavering commitment to bring to justice all perpetrators of media killings in the country. I commend the men and women of the PNP for capturing this most wanted criminal. We will not rest until all those responsible for the murder of Dennis Denora are brought to justice,” ani PTFoMS co-chairman and Presidential Communications Operations Office, Secretary Martin Andanar.
Sinabi naman ni Undersecretary Joel Sy Egco, executive director ng PTFoMS, na ang nasabing pag-aresto ay patunay ng hindi nababaling pangako ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa pagsupil ng panggigipit sa mga kawani ng media.
Si Denora ay publisher ng Trends and Times, isang community paper na nakabase sa Davao del Norte.
Napatay si Denora ng dalawang gunmen sa ambush sa Panabo City noong Hunyo 7, 2018.
