INIHAHANDOG ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang isang modelong sistema para sa sports ng local governments ang tampok sa ikalawang session ngayon ng National Sports Summit 2021.
Matapos ang matagumpay na paglulunsad ng unang virtual session noong nakaraang linggo, itutuloy ng PSC ang lingguhang sesyon sa pamamagitan lecture-forum na ‘Sports in Local Governments (A Model System)’ sa Pebrero 4. Si Davao del Norte Sports and Youth Development Head Giovanni Gulanes ang siyang resource speaker.
“We are excited to showcase DavNor as a model. Hopefully, it could inspire other leaders and coordinators from different LGUs to pursue their own sports development programs” wika ni PSC chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez.
Tatalakayin ni Gulanes ang ‘secret to DavNor’s success in hosting local multisport festivals’ tulad ng Palarong Pambansa (National Games), Batang Pinoy (Philippine Youth Games), at kanyang isi-share kung paano ang lalawigan nila ay matagumpay na na- implementa ang kanilang sports program.
Noong Enero 27, walang iba kundi si President Rodrigo R. Duterte ang nagbukas ng virtual na kaganapan kaagapay si Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth and Sports Senator Bong Go, pinuno ng House Committee on Youth and Sports Representative John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto, at si Department of Education Secretary Leonor Briones na naghatid ng mga encouragement sa halos 600 participante mula sa iba’t – ibang panig ng kapuluan.
