KINUMPIRMA ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) na hindi muna itataas ang presyo ng pangunahing bilihin habang nasa ilalim ng enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) sa ilang parte ng bansa partikular sa National Capital Region (NCR).
Ayon kay Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez nitong Huwebes, kasabay ito ng apela ni Sen. Imee Marcos noong Agosto 4.
“Thanks to Sen. Imee. Yes, we have postponed any adjustment on SRPs, during ECQ,” pahayag ni Lopez.
Inirekomenda ni Marcos na isantabi muna habang ECQ ang taas-presyong inaprubahan noong Hulyo.
“We need to help keep down costs for ordinary households because social welfare subsidies or ‘ayuda’ are not limitless and their distribution will be staggered,” saad sa statement ni Marcos.
Bukod sa kalakhang Maynila, ang ilan sa mga lugar na nasa ECQ ay ang Bataan, Laguna, Iloilo City at Cagayan de Oro City. (Josephine Patricio)
