TINULUYANG idemanda si Enchong Dee ng Cyberlibel ni Congresswoman Claudine Diana Bautista-Lim, party-list representative ng Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER), sa Office of the Provincial Prosecutor sa Davao Occidental.
Ang demanda ay bunsod ng mga umano’y “malicious” at “defamatory” statements ng aktor sa social media noong ikinasal si Bautista kay businessman Jose French Lim noong February 20 ng taon sa Balesin.
Ayon sa complaint affidavit ni Bautista, si Enchong “went as far as saying that I used public coffers to fund my wedding by categorically saying that ‘The money for commuters and drivers went to her wedding’, to the detriment and injury to my honor and name…”
Dagdag pa ni Bautista:, “The posts were meant nothing more than their malicious intentions of maligning my person, depicting me as a corrupt public official.”
Kalaunan humingi ng paumanhin sa kanyang banat si Dee, “With deep regret, I would like to apologize to Congresswoman Claudine Bautista, her husband, their families, and the Dumper Partylist.
“I reacted based on impulse without thinking of the consequences nor the harm it may cause.”
Ngunit ayon sa reklamo ng lady solon, inakusahan siya ni Dee ng paggamit ng kaban ng bayan para sa kanyang kasal.
Sa report, humihingi si Bautista ng moral damages sa halagang P500,000,000 at exemplary damages sa parehong halagang P500,000,000. Lahat lahat ay P1 bilyon.
