MATAPOS ang tatlong taon na pagretiro ay muling masisilayan si Tina Salak na mag lalaro sa Chery Tiggo sa Premier Volleyball League Open Conference na magsisimula sa Sabado sa PCV Socio-Civic Cultural Center sa Bacarra.
“She’ll have dual role, coach and player,” Wika ni Chery Tiggo team manager Ronwald Dimaculangan.
Ang 44-year-old Salak ay makakasama ang kapwa setters Jasmine Nabor, 23 at Gyzelle Sy, 28.
“It’s really an honor and privilege to coach the legendary Tina Salak,” Sambit ni coach Aaron Velez.
“I didn’t expect it at all. The decision to include her in the roster was sudden but a good decision, I would say.”
“It’s also going to be a challenging role for coach Tina because she’ll coach and play at a given time. Her experience is a given but to witness her talent and leadership is exceptional and inspiring,” anya.
Salak, ay naglaro sa Army mula 2005 to 2016, huli siyang naglaro sa Cocolife sa nakaraang tatlong taon sa Philippine Superliga bago nag focus sa coaching.
Ang team ay tampok sina Jaja Santiago-Manabat,Mylene Paat,Shaya Adorador at Buding Duremdez.
Sa pagpasok ni Salak ay lalong lumakas ang team lalot nawala sina Jannine Navarro at sisters EJ at Eya Laure.
Si Navarro ay may iniindang shoulder injury, Eya Laure ay nag-desisyon na manateli sa University of Sto. Tomas, habang ang kanyang kapatid EJ ay umatras na lumahok sa bubble dahil sa personal matters.
“EJ needs to take care some personal matters which I think is a priority for the mean time. Soon you’ll see her again in the playing court,” Wika ni Velez.
Ang Chery Tiggo ay sisimulan ang kanilang season kontra PLDT sa Sabado ala-una ng hapon.
