LARGA na ang lahat ng sistema sa pagiging punong-abala ng bansa sa prestihiyosong 21st Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship na hahataw sa Agosto.
Ang naturang kaganapang pang-internationall ay umarangkada na ‘in full swing’ sa pagselyo ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Pampanga at ng Bases Conversion and Developmentsa Authority (BCDA) bilang kakapit-bisig ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF).
Sina Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda at BCDA Vice President Arrey Perez ang nagpresenta ng groundwork sa idinaos na pulong kamakailan kay PNVF President Ramon “Tats” Suzara para sa Agosto 29 hanggang Setyembre 5 na kampeonato.
“Governor Pineda is excited and supportive to host the championship for the first time,”pahayag ni Suzara . “He would like to have grassroots program for the youth volleyball in Pampanga and asked the PNVF to help him with getting coaches.”
Ayon pa kay Suzara , ang San Fernando Convention Center ang magiging main competition venue, habang ang Subic Gym at Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center sa Pampanga ang magiging secondary halls.
“Renovation of SFCC is ongoing to meet the international volleyball standards,”sambit ni Suzara .Makikipagpulong muli ang pinuno ng PNVF kay Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Chairman at Administrator Atty. Wilma Eisma. Ang isang linggong torneo ay magsisilbing qualifier para sa susunod na taong FIVB Women’s World Championship na ihu-host ng The Netherlands at Poland.
“We expect our young players in the national team to be promising and to have good experience before the SEA Games in Vietnam,” ani pa Suzara.(Danny Simon)
