ANG 2021 AVC Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship ay ipinagpaliban sa susunod na taon dahil sa pesting COVID-19 cases sa bansa.
Sinabi ni Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) opisyal Tony Boy Liao na ang hosting ng bansa para sa continental championship — na nakatakda sa Auguat 29-September 5 to October 24 to 31- ay muling inurong sa 2022.
“The Asian Seniors Women’s Championship is rescheduled next year. No date announced yet,” Wika ni National Teams Commission chairman Liao.
Ang Philippine women’s volleyball team ay nakalinya sa Pool A, makakasama ang Kazakhstan, Chinese – Taipei at Uzbekistan sa eight-team tournament sa Bren Z Guiao Convention Center sa San Fernando Pampanga.
Thailand, South Korea,Iran at Australia ay sasabak sa Pool B.
Dagdag pa ni Liao na ang Philippine women’s pool kamakailan ay umalis sa camp sa Batangas, at magkakaroon ulit ng panibagong bubble training either in Subic or Pampanga para sa kanilang build-up sa 2021 AVC Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship sa October 1 to 7 sa Nakhon Ratchasima,Thailand.
“They will continue their training for the Asian Club Championship but presently there’s no venue for them to train after they left Batangas,” anya . “They’re now in Manila and awaiting where they can train, Subic or San Fernando, Pampanga.”
