UMAASA si Pang. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na patuloy na susuportahan ng Asian Development Bank (ADB) ang mga malalaking proyekto sa Pilipinas.
Sa kanyang talumpati sa reception para sa kanya ng ADB sa Mandaluyong City, tiniyak ni PBBM na ang mga plano at proyektong pinondohan ng bangko ay maisasakatuparan sa takdang panahon.
Malaki aniya ang pakinabang ng pamahalaan sa ADB sa pamamagitan ng mga isinusulong nitong non-infrastructure projects, kasama na rito ang maraming development projects sa hanay ng agriculture, reskilling, at climate change-related initiatives.
Nakaharap naman ni Marcos sa event si ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa at iba pang senior officials ng bangko.
Ayon sa Presidente, nakaumang at binubuo na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang proposal para sa food stamp program.
Nabanggit din ni Marcos ang partnership sa pagitan ng ADB at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), katuwang ang Civil Service Commission (CSC) ukol sa digitalization.
“So the ADB has given us so many opportunities, not only in these projects that we are discussing but we are given more so in what has been done since ADB was brought here to Manila and they have been an essential part of all our development plans and they have been a robust and strong and reliable partner in the Development of the Philippines,” wika ni Marcos.
Matatandaang nakatanggap ng US$2.99 bilyong financial assistance ang Pilipinas mula sa ADB noong nakaraang taon. (GILBERT PERDEZ)
