INILANTAD ng Philippine Football Federation (PFF) ang lineup ng Philippine women’s football para sa FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Midfielder Tahnai Annis at defender Hali Long, ang primary at secondary captains ng team ang nangunguna sa final 23-women roster para sa Filipinas.
Kabilang sina goalkeepers Olivia McDaniel and Kiara Fontanilla, defenders Alicia Barker, Reina Bonta, Malea Cesar, Jessika Cowart, Sofia Harrison, at Dominique Randle, midfielders Ryley Bugay, Anicka Castañeda, Sara Eggesvik, Quinley Quezada, at Jaclyn Sawicki, at forwards Sarina Bolden, Bella Flanigan, Carleigh Frilles, Katrina Guillou, Chandler McDaniel, at Meryll Serrano.
Defender Angela Beard, na minsan ay naglaro sa Australia national team, ay gagawan ng kanyang debut bilang isang Filipina. Kaiya Jota na nakalista sa seniors group para sa kanyang stellar career sa youth level.
“This group of 23 represents the best of us, the best of the indomitable Filipino spirit, and I am excited to see them make all of us even prouder,” Paliwanag ni Jeff Cheng, the Filipinas’ team manager, tungkol sa kanilang World Cup composition Linggo ng gabi.
“We congratulate the 23 players who were selected for the Philippines in the FIFA Women’s World Cup and express our gratitude to the players who have committed and sacrificed to make themselves available throughout the selection process,” Dagdag ni PFF president Nonong Araneta.
Inna Palacios, Maya Alcantara, at Bella Pasion ay nakalista na reserves, habang si Eva Madarang ay hindi kasama sa final lineup.
“It was such an extremely tough choice, but these players were ultimately the ones who put their hands up and impressed the most in recent times and based on current form. They are the ones that my coaching staff and myself think will represent the Filipinas the best and gives us the best possible chance to perform at our peak in the World Cup.”
