Marcos ipamahagi ang cash incentives sa SEAG APG medalists sa Hulyo 20

PANGUNGUNAHAN ni President Ferdinand”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang pamamahagi ng cash Incentives sa mahigit 500 national athletes sa Hulyo 20 sa Malacañang Palace bilang pagkilala sa kanilang natatanging tagumpay sa 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) at 12th ASEAN Para Games (APG) na ginanap kamakailan sa Cambodia.

“We are grateful for President Marcos’ decision to personally award the incentives to Team Philippines, an expression of his admiration to our national athletes and their unwavering passion and dedication for representing the country,” Wika ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Richard Bachmann.

Ang PSC ay magpapalabas ng P60 million at P14 million cash bonuses para sa SEAG at APG medalist,ayon sa pagkakasunod, Ayon sa itinatadhana ng Republic Act 10699, o ang Expanded National Athletes at Coaches Incentives at Benefits Act.

Sa ilalim ng batas, national athletes na nagwagi ng gold medals ay tatanggap ng P300,000 silver medal finish P150,000 at bronze medal finish P60,000 sa SEA Games level.

Ang gold, silver, at bronze medalist sa ASEAN Para Games level, ay may karapatan na tumanggap ng insentibo sa halagang P150,000,P75,000,P30,000, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Ang pondo para dito sa cash bonuses mula sa gobyerno ay kinuha mula sa net cash income ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), ay ipapadala sa National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) ng PSC.

“In the past, the PSC conducted two separate awarding for SEAG and APG medalists, but I believe it is more fitting to join the two for the President’s first-ever incentives awarding during his administration,” Dagdag ng sports agency chief, na kasama sa awarding kabilang ang PSC board of commissioners.

Imbitado rin sa seremonya si Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Senate Committee on Sports chairman Sen. Bong Go, House Committee on Youth and Sports chairman Rep. Faustino Dy 3rd, at Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham Tolentino, at iba pa.
Ang Pilipinas ay nasa ika-limang puwesto sa SEAG na humakot ng 58 golds,85 silvers at 117 bronzes.
Sa APG, ang bansa ay nagdiliver ng rekord – breaking performance na 34 golds,33 silvers at 50 bronzes. (Jeff Venancio)
