ITINAMPOK ng Philippine Sports Commission’s (PSC) sa National Women’s Month Celebration ang mga pambatong lady boxers na sina Irish Magno, Aira Villegas Josie Gabuco, at Riza Pasuit kahapon sa episode ng Rise Up! Shape Up.
Si 2021 Tokyo Olympics first Filipina qualifier Irish Magno ang nanguna sa special episode at kanilang inilahad ang kanilang tinahak tungo sa tagumpay mula sa pagwawagi ng gold medal noong 2012 sa Taipei Open, silver medal sa women’s flyweight division in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, at naghahangad ng podium finish sa Games.
Ang iba pang Filipina boxers 2019 Southeast Asian Games bronze medalist Aira Villegas, kauna-unahang Filipina AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships titleholder Josie Gabuco at 2019 Southeast Asian Games silver medalist Riza Pasuit ay nag-share din ng kanilang dynamics sa larangang inspirasyon din ang mahal na ina na pinanggagalingan ng kanilang lakas sa bawat kanilang pakikibaka.“We’ve seen many athletes who dedicate their success to their parents, particularly their mothers. It is very important to recognize that while an athlete’s achievement is his or her own, a part of it is attributable to the support given to him or her by the family,”pahayag ni Women in Sports Oversight Commissioner Celia H. Kiram.
Sinabi pa ni Kiram na ang naturang episode ay kinikilala ang women’s powerful presence sa larangang karaniwang dominado ng kalalakihan.
