NAKUHA ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) ang serbisyo ng Brazilian tactician para maging miyembro ng Philippine women’s volleyball coaching staff.
Inanunsyo ng PNVF nitong Lunes na ang 54-year — old Jorge Souza de Brito ay sasama sa coaching staff na kasalukuyang pinamumunuan ni head coach Odgie Mamon.
Ang development ay nangyari matapos payagan ng Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) ang PNVF na puwede nang kumuha ng foreign coach.
“We are thankful for the FIVB’s quick response to our request and we are more thankful that the federation picked an excellent man for the job,” Wika ni PNVF president Ramon “Tats” Suzara.
Sasagutin ng FIVB ang suweldo ni Souza de Brito, habang ang transportation,lodging, at food allowance ay mangagaling sa PNVF.
Si Souza de Brito ay miyembro ng 1992 Brazillian men’s volleyball team na nagbulsa ng Olympic gold.
Naging champion coach sa club level,na nagwagi ng titulo sa kanyang bayan maging sa Turkey at Japan.
“With coach Jorge’s vast experience as a coach and player, we are very sure that we will get the technology transfer we have aspired for,” Sambit ni Suzara.
