Bill ng kuryente umabot sa P1.1m sa maling meter reading

LABIS na na-stress ng isang customer nang umabot sa P1.1 milyon ang bill nito sa kuryente sa Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.

Sa ulat, sinabing 6,381 kilowatt-hours ang konsumo ng customer, na dapat sana mahigit P54,000 lamang ang bill, kung gagamiting basehan ang P8.50 per kilowatt-hour rate sa statement of account.

“With regard po doon sa nag-trending recently sa Facebook na electric bill amounting to P1M+, we admit that our meter reader has committed an error because of double entry of one digit (minsan ‘di po maiwasan because of the position of the kWh meter, weather condition, digital type of meter, etc…),” sabi ni Moira Lee Vilan, Member Services Division Supervisor ng Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ORMECO).

Ayon kay Vilan, naitama na nila ito at naibigay na ang tamang statement of account sa customer.

Nakiusap naman ang ORMECO na magsumbong sa kanila kung may reklamo ang mga customer sa bill at huwag agad mag-post sa social media.
